30" Matte Black Walnut Shelf
Walnut is a prized hardwood with its stunning grain pattern. Since natural materials have variations in color, we stained the ones with most "character" a deep black which gave them a new life and prevented wasteful discarding of otherwise perfect shelves. We made our 30"L black shelf extra deep at 12", so you can spaciously fit larger pieces like a dining set or coffee table books. The hardwood shelf collection was made by FSC certified manufacturers and has been pre-drilled to fit our Pyramid Brackets.

You can definitely purchase the brackets on their own. You would use the bottom of the bracket as a template to pre-drill 3 holes in the base of your chosen shelf (this makes it easier to fasten the bracket without damaging the shelf). This is an easy job for anyone comfortable using a drill bit.
We are proud of the materials and design details of our shelves, which can work with other brackets. Both the hardwood and painted shelf collections have pre-drilled holes on the undersides. The holes are templated to fit our pyramid brackets; however, if you choose to use a different system, you could pre-drill additional holes to fit your chosen bracket.
- We suggest first identifying at least one wall stud to ensure you are drilling into wood and not only drywall. This ensures the best support for any wall-hung shelf system.
- Carefully measure where you will position the shelf and the bracket positions. Using the bracket piece, mark the wall where you will drill.
- After drilling the brackets into the wall (and studs), place the spacer on top of the bracket (this allows the cover to slide on).
- Place the pre-drilled shelf base on top of the spacer and bracket, and drill into the shelf from below.
- Slide the cover over the bracket base.

The hardwood shelf collection was made by FSC-certified manufacturers and features premium Walnut, Zebra Wood, and a locally sourced Red Oak. They feature a slightly beveled edge detail, and the wood surface is finished in a clear, water-based lacquer.
The hardwood shelf collection is available in two sizes: 60" L x 12" D and 30" L x 12" D. The shelves are cut 1" thick, so they are substantial and quite heavy.
The Half Moon paintable shelf collection is made from FSC-sourced poplar wood. Each shelf is finished in one coat of primer and made to be painted in any color of your choice.
The Half Moon shelf collection is available in three sizes: 16" L x 10" D, 30" L x 10" D, and 48" L x 10" D. The shelves are cut 0.75" thick with rounded edges for a softer silhouette.
You can certainly make custom adjustments to the spacing of brackets by measuring your desired distance and pre-drilling holes that match our bracket support points.
